About
Even though I knew who I was as a music artist, it became crystal clear after a talk with one of Michael Buble's mgrs. He said, "Eddie, you know there's a lot of conversation about the fact that there are no African American men of your generation doing this music (The American Songbook)? Which is ironic since Black Americans created it! This fact motivated me even more. As a vocalist, I'm considered in the top 2% of singers of Traditional Pop. With authenticity, I evoke that Nat Cole/Ray Charles element that's missing in the music mainstream. So far, Buble is the only sherrif in town. My strategy is similar to Michael Buble; 1) Identify an investor (*for him, it was Paul Anka) to fund both a 12-track record (featuring select standards w/ orchestral & big band arrangements) produced by 6-time Grammy Winner, Frank Filipetti and 2) contract publicist Liz Rosenberg to do a 6 month blitz of me and 1 or 2 singles from the finished recording. Then, from the exposure, sign w/ a major label.
