Spirit Map, is an iOS/Android adventure app. It allows users to create a collective map of cultural lore, our fondest memories, favorite places, and everyday discoveries, by marking these places as "Spirits" on the map UI. While allowing us to “geo-cache” these significant places, it more importantly allows us to share these unique places with the world via open source mapping and social media. However, let it be said that the goal of Spirit Map is not to facilitate a platform for creating more individual identities for people... its goal is to get individual people to create identities for shared spaces, together. Spirit Map also invites institutions and select businesses to create their own map layers as in-app purchases. These contain location based publishing, creative interactive advertising, augmented reality, and adventure challenges.
