About
Smiletime is an interactive technology venture that embraces the Internet's distribution and interaction capabilities by creating a platform for what comes next in premium video storytelling. With Smiletime, broadcasters can reimagine live television through unprecedented interactivity and add "can't miss" urgency via real-time access. Audiences enjoy highly immersive and participatory live entertainment. Video viewing experience takes on the urgency and "can't miss" nature of playing a video game. Founded by Alex Kruglov (early Hulu), Jace Hall (former head of WB’s video game division), and Sharon Chang (former Razorfish, 19 Entertainment). Smiletime's technology team is run by Rory McKenna (Yahoo!, Overture, CalTech) and Masahji Stewart (Yahoo!, Overture, Synctree, Citysearch). Smiletime's finance and operations is run by Alex Jacquet (former Disney); creative direction lead by Matt Vascellaro (experienced TV and digital producer).
