In the age of OkCupid, Tinder, and Grindr, the need to protect one’s true identity is even more critical. No one truly knows who is on the other side of the screen. With a one-time generated 6 digit PIN, pinchr allows you to communicate and find out if it’s the kind of person that you can trust with your real number. Adding a PIN and inputting a PIN is done from the same screen where one user shows the other user a 6 digit PIN on their screen and they tap the “type in somebody's PIN” button and enter the 6 digit PIN. The user who is about to be added gets a confirmation screen. pinchr uses iCloud credentials meaning no need to sign up. A randomly generated user id is created by the server and no email address is required - a profile is simply a non-verified first name and last name (asked at first launch of the app). pinchr also features group chats in the same manner.
