About
Streaming curated narratives of visual imagery to Smart TV and other screens on a freemium model (free/ad-supported & subscription). Flatscreen TV will inevitably become the most common way of consuming/viewing visual art - the screen has crystal-clear image quality, is self-lit, and allows for changing the picture on your wall simply by pushing a new image. That being said, the key insight behind our startup is not the screen - with recent advances in technology (screens, streaming devices, and mobile devices), the necessary infrastructure is already in place. While a number of art-dot-somethings are trying to revolutionize the "art world" (art 1.0) by bringing the art market online (art 2.0), we feel the real potential for disruption concerns art’s mode of consumption: streaming as opposed to purchase/ownership (art 3.0), with parallels to recent transformations in the digital consumption of music, film, tv, and other media (Netflix, Pandora, Spotify).
