Boxing sparring partners can be tough to find and boxing classes can be intimidating. Let's be honest, boxing video games don't provide any type of realism. Overthrow Robotics has created an intelligent and durable robot that allows beginners all the way up to professionals train without the need for a partner with minimal risk of injury. Robots can also be paired up and remotely controlled like in the movie Real Steel. Our target customers are gyms, bars (the kind that would have a mechanical bull), upper end of the consumer market and arcades. Human sized robots typically cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Using the latest CNC laser cutting and 3D printing along with open source hardware and software has allowed Overthrow Robotics to create the first durable human sized robot built for the general market. We also plan to sell or license portions of our hardware and software such as our pressure sensors and high power motor control system.
