About

Needle Vision is a spinout company from the National Institute of Health’s Ultrasonic Transducer Technology Resource Center (UTTRC) at USC. UTTRC is a global leader in the development of high frequency ultrasound arrays and high frequency transducer imaging capabilities. The Company has developed a disruptive imaging technology prototype that once integrated with a needle & syringe and commercialized, will reduce costly complications resulting from needle injections by medical specialists. The new patented design effectively eliminates blind spots directly in front of the needle, reducing the risk experienced by anesthesiologists administering spinal, epidural, and caudal anesthesia (~2.4M procedures/yr), and diagnosticians and surgeons utilizing hypodermic needles in millions of high risk procedures. The opportunities are significant, particularly since a major percentage of our target device market is unaware that an imaging needle approach could solve clinical guidance problems.
