It revolutionizes the way we teach by making books approachable. It connects students to the music and art inspired by the books they read. It enables readers to create their own songs and art based on their response to the themes and characters they encounter while reading. It works on tablets, phones and desktops. With College and Career Ready Standards adopted by most states, it is crucial to find new ways to motivate students to read complex texts, and allow them to show their understanding using a variety of media. We may hear students say how they dislike reading books, but rarely do they complain about their consumption and creation of music and art. This is why LitRemix plays such an important role in our efforts to bridge the gap between books and the students who need to read them.
