GiftMetro is a gamified online shop where users can buy $50 Amazon, Macy's and Nordstrom gift cards for just 75¢. We've invented a patent-pending auction model that utilizes virtual currency in order to make these massive discounts possible. Bidding in GiftMetro auctions is done with our virtual currency Giftcoins. Each bidder in an auction uses the GiftMetro Bid Engine to convert 75¢ into as many Giftcoins as they can. The bidder who converts their 75¢ into the most Giftcoins and is therefore able to make the highest bid in the auction wins the auction item and pays just the 75¢ spent to acquire their Giftcoins. GiftMetro has no bidding fees or any other kind of fees. Only the auction winner pays the 75¢ price for the auctioned gift card. All other bidders in the auction are refunded all the money they spent bidding.
