We are a reverse auction platform for high-end fashion products. Fashion designers post projects for production and dozens of contractors bid for the job. (1) Production line opacity is a huge problem in the fashion and garment industry. Factors such as materials, design, type of product, minimum order size, and product expertise all need to be considered when deciding on a producer. District 2 aggregates high-quality, vetted contractors and provide information on all these data points in an easily accessible manner. (2) Quality control is hard when many producers are remote. District 2 users see ratings and reviews for each manufacturer. Pricing and payments currently take too much time. District 2 lets designers decide on a range of bids, and holds payment in escrow until the job is complete. We are building a secure payment system with specific features adapted for the fashion industry (progress payments, shipping, customs factors, etc)
