BookBucket

BookBucket is an iOS book discovery platform that allows users to discover book suggestions from their influencers. Browse through books, create playlists of books you've read, are reading now, and want to read. Discover what other users are reading, or playlists from influencers, whether they are real people or your favorite company. Technology Stack: Objective-C, Scala, Play Framework, PostgreSQL. Data Sources: Google Books' API , and scraping our own database. We hope to improve our data source through strategic partnerships.  Future features:  Affiliate purchases, promoted content (monetization), book clubs, a book progress feature, possibly e-book reading. Current Situation:  We are actively looking to join an accelerator to tighten our 'build measure learn' loop, and to work on BookBucket full time. As a result of our part time efforts, we have a live beta on the app store, and are establishing product market fit via interviews with a small group of users.
